Video is everywhere today. The growth of rich media just continues to increase as you start to see all these video websites everywhere and many websites are integrating video on to their websites to make the user experience better. Video is now handy, as there are mini portable DVD players and handheld devices like the Apple iPods and similar devices can also play video. Many camera phones today are able to record video, although in a lower quality, many people still love using it, being able to capture on video many precious moments of their lives. Video is just starting to be everywhere.

An innovative company, Televator Corporation has came up with the idea of placing video ads within the elevator. So I guess companies advertising will literally need to have the best elevator statement, since the elevator ride is just like about 30 secs, more of less. Within the elevator ride, the ad must catch the attention of the elevator passenger and should have enough recall to the ad. Honestly, I do not remember any ad from Televator, so I believe it is not that effective. But to make it effective, I believe the ads must be:

Very creative that can instill a strong recall.

If ever these ads are paid to display on a certain time, get the time slots when people ride the elevator, like going to work, leaving for lunch, coming back from lunch, and going out from work.

Since 30 seconds or less may be hard to create a significant impact on the viewer, try to pay for these ads for long periods of time. Maybe a month is the minimum. So people see the ads over and over again for better recall.

I did not see this having audio, but I believe these type of ads would be better if it had some audio.

Companies whose target clients could be people within the building would be perfect for them. I believe places that would be nice to eat lunch or dinner would be great in close proximity or within the building would be great.

But honestly, in my opinion, video with no audio, for 30 seconds or less, is not effective and a poster might work as effective as a 30 second silent video ad. And the the best recall I have of the Televator screen in the ad of the BSOD I took a photo of:

Michael Arrington of TechCrunch was one of the first people to express their negative thoughts about PayPerPost. His point dealt with the credibility of post. Some other bloggers expressed their thoughts saying like how can bloggers blog the truth if they can be paid to give false truths about a product or service endorsement? Before the negative bloggers say that, they should tell that to TVShopping channels. And someone that is not paid for the post itself in their blogs, how can they say their post is true of not? It is based only on their own judgement.

Even with the negative publicity from some bloggers, PayPerPost still continued on and I knew it was going to make more money. As I myself continued with the PayPerPost program where I signed up as a blogger and also tried being an advertiser, I just saw the increase of advertisers everyday. It kept growing that you can start blogging about almost any topic and you will get to find a post related to it in PayPerPost.

Michael Arrington blogs once again about PayPerPost, not much negative news about the blog advertising was tied to his post this time, as he highlights the $3Million raised from investors. It looks like PayPerPost is really on its way up even with the earlier negative bloggers who have contradicted the system.

In the October 3, 2006 SEO Rockstars show talked about the online gabling industry. With the recent Government bill proposals, which is just a few days from approval will not allow online gambling sites in the United States, I wonder what will happen with sites like VegasPokerPro? Many affiliate sites make money out of Poker and other forms of online gambling where almost every online gamble site is powered by affiliate networks. Now if these sites will no longer be allowed in the United States, will these websites still make enough money to rely on US offshore markets? Will this online industry still be as lucrative as it is today, not only from the online gabling companies but from the affiliates as well?

Greg Boser’s guesstimate, knowing that in the proposed bill does not include horse racing, believes that many online affiliates might move their attention into that direction. Imagine if this goes out of the US, not only the online gambling websites are affected, but the online gabling affiliates as well, and also the online media selling companies are also losing a large customer base where this online media companies include Google Adwords, Yahoo Marketing and MSN as well.

In previous laws, online gambling companies were not allowed to be physically present in the United States so most of these companies are based offshore. But people from the United States could still join the games online no matter where the company is based since it is on the Internet. But in the new proposed bill which I have not read page by page, but has heard from the affiliate community, that when the new bill is passed, these online gaming companies will not even be allowed to have game players from the United States. If you love playing Party Poker, better start or continue playing while you still can and think of your poker strategy.

I myself have seen the growth of PayPerPost.com myself in a short span of time, just by looking at the advertisers willing to be blogged about seems to increase at a rapid rate over time. And I have seen several repeat advertising from the same advertisers as more advertisers continue with the service. They would not have done this repeat advertising if it was not effective. Yes, PPP has begun as this new business model in website advertising and website monetizing for bloggers. In the eyes of the bloggers, we make money blogging, and even if there are more than 1 way to earn money in blogging, PayPerPost.com will definitely be one of them.

Some people are still wondering what really podcasting is. But this is simply an audio feed you subscribe too that downloads automatically to iTunes that you can synchronize with your iPod. As every one of us may have a busy life, busy with our jobs, busy with our personal lives, podcast are just a convenient way to learn more, while you can be busy with another activity. I have listened to podcast while in the gym, while eating, while working in the office, while driving, and while in the bathroom.

Being into the field of Web Design and Development and also in Internet Marketing that includes SEM/SEO, I have always listened to podcast to be further updated in this field of study. And I personally like many of the podcast from WebmasterRadio.fm were they have some of the industry’s experts host the program, talk about the current day issues, interview other experts and entertain listener questions in their live shows. With the podcast, if you cannot be on time during the shows, you do not miss a thing. And in listening to the leaders of the Internet marketing world, Internet Marketing Voodoo’s marketing podcast has been guesting the top people from the industry. They have had on board Brent Hill, Vice President of FeedBurner, founder of Pheedo, Bill Flitter and an interesting podcast of Video Blogging with Justin Johnson of Vidblogs.com.

Currently, it is from marketing podcast I have learned a lot more and quite faster than any other ways of gaining more knowledge online.
