If you are a frequent flyer for out of country flights, you have probably flew in an Airbus, but not an A380 but some older model and also often on the Boeing 747. Currently, the largest plane for commercial flights that is currently in operation by airline companies is the Boeing 747 and has been the largest for the past 35 years or so.
Airbus S.A.S has built the Airbus A380 and first flew only last April 27, 2005 and we are currently less than a week from it’s anniversary flight. The Airbus A380 is a double decker like the Boeing 747. This Airbus A380 by Airbus S.A.S. is a four-engine airliner and this A380 Airbus will propably be service the public skies late 2006 with it’s first customer, Singapore Airlines. The Airbus A380 was also called the A3XX and also the SuperJumbo during it’s development stages.
