There’re plenty of free remote access choices on the internet. But some appliance based web collaboration remote access/support alternatives like RHUB http://www.rhubcom.com are fail-safe with secured access.

Thanks, Al Khalel Le Beau for your post. I have three computers at my dad’s home and I’ve always supported them remotelly using PC File Transfer on http://www.pc-file-transfer.com/. It’s a good alternative to GoToMyPC. And it’s cheap enough. As for TightVNC, I have never heard this remote access tool.
