This is funny. An actual Microsoft Presentation of their new Windows Vista was recorded. But only the audio was used in this video and replaced with an Apple Mac OSX presentation. All these new features of Microsoft Window Vista are not really that new to the Apple Mac OSX.
Loading...But this does not surprise me. When Microsoft Windows 3.1 came out, it was just exactly modeled after the early Macintosh OS and added a bunch of other features.
When the days of Wordstar was going away because the new word processor WordPerfect had a bunch of better features, Microsoft made Microsoft Word and it worked just like WordPerfect and even had (and still does) a help section for WordPerfect users so the transition is easy.
I used to use Lotus 123 DOS version way back then, and every command can be launched by pressing the slash ( / ) and when Microsoft Excel came out and installed on my Windows 3.1 machine on a 486 DX2, I was a bit hesitant learning new things, but when I pressed slash, it also activated the menus.
And of course, I still remember the Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer war. Netscape had to be bought before, and IE was given away for free with Windows. Almost every feature was copied from Netscape.
And the list of software go on… in the eyes of the developers and designers, Microsoft is nothing but a copy cat. They have nothing original. And looks at them as the enemy killing the small players.
In the eyes of the businessman, Microsoft is a doing great business. Use what is proven useful by other companies, start from there and innovate and provide more, plan your supply and distribution chain, your advertising and marketing plan and find ways to dominate the market even if you were not the first.
Whatever way you look at it, copy cat bad guy, innovating businessman, I do not care. LOLz, just enjoy the video.
